Trucking Technology Study
We want to understand the challenges that trucking companies face in not only finding freight, but delivering it as well.
We’re recruiting truckers who drive for (or own) small to mid-sized trucking companies to participate in a research project that will be conducted during the weeks of January 3rd and January 10th.
Research study vision
Our client wants to understand the obstacles that trucking companies deal with when it comes to keeping their trucks running (and finding good freight). The goal is to identify opportunities to use new technologies to help small and mid-sized carriers win (and haul) freight from larger shippers.
Here are the topics our research study will cover:
The reasons that motivate truckers to start a trucking company (and their ambitions for the future).
Routines for finding freight – whether it’s landing contracts with shippers or relying on load boards.
Opportunities to use new technologies to ease the burdens that small trucking companies face each day.
the purpose of this study
One of our clients has asked us to talk to truckers in pursuit of a new perspective. Why? In order to understand how technology can be used to help small and mid-sized motor carriers become more profitable.
To do so, we’re going to use an online community – Recollective - to discuss not only how drivers (and owners) with smaller and mid-sized carriers find freight but how they run it as well. We’ll also talk about ways that trucking companies can run more efficiently by collaborating with digital brokerages.
